CASCADE CHARTER SERVICE
Brief History
Established in 1963 in Chilliwack B.C.
Purchased in 1968 by Robert Dubois.
With the exception of one commuter coach from Chilliwack to Vancouver
Cascade remained for the most part a charter company until March 1984.
Upon the breakup of Pacific Coach Lines by the Provincial Government [Social
Credit] on March 31,1984, Cascade Charter Service obtained the schedule
service for the Fraser Valley from Vancouver in the west to Harrisson Hot
Springs in the east, a distance of approx. 85 miles.
Cascade Charter Service continued both a charter and a greatly increased
schedule service till December 31,1993.
At that time it was purchased by Briggs and renamed Fraser Valley Bus
and Charter.
In February 1995 Fraser Valley Bus and Charter abandoned the scheduled
service in favour of charters only.
