Detoxification is a prerequisite: applicants must be drug and alcohol free for a minimum of 72 hours prior to admission. Applicants must also be willing and able to participate in The Program.

Turning Point is open to any adult with a desire to become free from chemical dependency. Referrals are accepted from any source, including the following:

• Detoxification centres.
• Addiction service counsellors (such as ADP, ADS, AS, and so on).
• Residential treatment facilities.
• Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).
• Self-referrals.
