SATELIER KENNEL

The Satelier kennel name was permanently registered with the Canadian Kennel club in 1964.

My very first show dog was a tri male Ch. Banchory Dark Tempest (Thistlerose Black Falcon ex Thistlerose Blue Vogue - Aladdin full sister) bred by Donna Langness.

His daughter Ch. Hi-Hope's Gentian Satelier C.D. was bred by E.H. & Frances Clarke and was my 'stud puppy :-)'. Both she and her sire come down in all of my Shelties to this day. I consider the purchase of Ch. Esquire's Casino Royale ROMC -27 ch's- to be the foundation of my sable line. Today these shelties are well intertwined.

'Casino Royale was purchased on a trip to San Diego with Laura and Frances. We co-owned 'Chance' for a short time but he eventually became all mine :-). He was bred by Michael-Anne Hughes & Marcia A. Giamanco. Interestingly enough we went to visit these ladies because we had heard that they had a young litter of blue merles. The blues were at the other ladies house and I fell madly in love with Casino Royale. I should have bought one of his sisters also. His sire was Am/Can Ch. Halstor's Peter Pumpkin ROM, ROMC ex Mex/Am Ch. Dan Dee Offshore Coral (she was a gr/daughter of Am/Can Ch. Browne Acres Brigadier Am/Can C.D.X.) that I thought very highly of. Because of her I felt this male would work well with my breeding program. Who knew from Peter??? :-))

A lot of the History is in Bob Millers books and the records of the C.K.C. Since 1998 I have been working on 'new chapters'. So far so good .
