What's new with Jeanette.....

Jeanette is now being represented my the Los Angles based management and Publicity firm Vizcarra & Kirk.
Jeanette has just received five BCCMA nominations including Female Vocalist of the year, Single of the year ("Now You’re Gone"), Album of the year, Video of the year ("Now You’re Gone" – Directed by Adam Sliwinski) and The Horizon Award for Best New Artist. Additional nominations include Jeanette’s producer Tom McKillip for Producer of the year and guitarist of the year, Jeanette’s engineer Craig Zurba for Engineer of the year and Jeanette’s keyboard player Steve Todd for Keyboard Player of the year. The BC Country Music Awards will be held on October 1,2000 in Cloverdale BC.
Jeanette has had national and international radio success with her first four singles off her debut album entitled "Where Ordinary Ends". "Still The One", "Now You’re Gone", "This Time" and "Where Ordinary Ends" have all charted nationally and have been supported by a video on CMT.
Almost every song from Jeanette’s album is receiving heavy radio play in The U.S, England, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Argentina, Uruguay, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Jeanette is signed with Southbound Records in London, England. Her debut album is distributed throughout The U.K. by Universal, the largest music distributor in the world.
Jeanette’s first single "Still The One" was recently included on the Curb Record’s European compilation "Linedance Fever 7" along side such artists as Leanne Rimes, Tim McGraw and Jo Dee Messina.
World-renowned Choreographer Bill Bader (Creator of the "BOOT SCOOTIN’ BOOGIE" line-dance) created a line-dance for Jeanette’s version of "Still The One". To date the dance has been taught to thousands of people throughout Canada, The U.S., England, Australia. New Zealand and Japan.
Jeanette’s debut album is now being distributed nationally through PHD Distribution, based in Vancouver, BC. The album is now available in all A&B Sound and HMV stores across Canada.
Jeanette has just completed production on her sophomore CD. The album was produced by Tom McKillip. The bulk of the recording was done at The Tragically Hip’s Bath, Ontario recording studio, with just the vocals and mandolin over-dubs recorded at Orca Pacific in Vancouver. Jeanette has two writing credits on the new album with additional writing credits going to Dean McTaggert, Lisa Brokop, Ron Irving, George Harrison, Robin Lee Bruce, Christi Danne Miller, Robin Lerner, Tommy Lee James, Steve Booker, Tom McKillip & Linda McKillip.
Some highlights of Jeanette’s up-coming live performance calendar are: Sat, Aug. 12/00: opening for Paul Brandt at The Campbell River Salmon Festival, Fri. Aug18/00: opening for Rick Tippe at The Nanaimo Exhibition, Fri. Sept. 8/00 and Sat. Sept.9/00: headlining at The Port Alberni Fall Fair.
The Trans American Broadcasting Corporation (based in Hollywood California) has "STILL THE ONE", "NOW YOU'RE GONE" and several other cuts from the album, playing on 78 radio stations across the U.S. in a heavy rotation. The songs are being featured on their two syndicated radio programs; "The Best Of Can Country" and "The Best Of Country" . Ted Clark Syndications (based in The Netherlands) have several of the album cuts playing on an additional 15 stations in The U.S.
