My dad is the coach of the Canadian men's curling team which won the silver medal in Nagano, and with his permission (not yet obtained), I'll post his email messages along with his pictures to recreate the Olympic experience from a Canadian perspective.

We (Lisa, Phinny and Dave) live in
Whistler, B.C., the best ski resort
in North America. We both work at the
Delta Whistler Resort (I'm on the
Bell Desk and Lisa works in the Sales Department).
It's not a bad life
in the mountains. We ski when we can, eat out alot and just enjoy the scenery.
I've recently applied for a new job (Today is Feb 20th), and my interview
is on Wednesday. I hope all goes well. I'd still be with the hotel, but
in a different capacity.
Phinnegan (our tri-coloured
Jack Russel Terrier) 
keeps us too busy to ski as much as we would like to, but he is
good for a lot of laughs after a hard day at work. He's about 10 months
old, and acts like a right little bugger when he wants to. He's also
smarter than the two of us combined, which makes him very hard to control.
