India has 3 models. Broad gauge GT16's built in 1964 class WDM4 used in passenger service on the Northern Railway and based out of Mughal Sarai, and meter gauge GA12's and GA12C's based out of Ahmedabad on the Western Railway. There are only 2 GA12's left and 1 GA12C out of a total of 55, and these are now retired.
