Mercedes 206DG Kombi
Our
character returned to where it belonged when this "glamour puss"entered
our lives which was precisely the same day when the American style motor
home we had owned for the past 3 years departed. It was the last model
Mercedes tolerated to wear it's prestigious star following it's buy out
from the Hanomag company.The following year the company introduced it's
own designed light transporter which was far more handsome than ours and
for which it was a bit ashamed, especially as it was often mistaken in
the U.S. as a VW. We bought it from a mail order company which rotated
it's fleet every three years and were fortunate to choose one equipped
with a new engine as well as other parts.This became our home from 1978
until 1992 and the adventures we had during that time are the stuff of
legend.
