A sparkling gem of a private holiday getaway for up to four adults, on the sunny side of swimmable Magic Lake, Pender Island. A wall of windows light the main room which has comfortable seating for four, dining table and chairs, and a cozy airtight wood burning fireplace for romantic evenings.
Everything is new and tastefully selected for your pleasure and convenience. The well-equipped kitchen, with its snack bar and four high stools, has a microwave, electric coffee maker, toaster, electric hand-mixer. There's a bedroom with queen bed, drawer space, and large closet; four piece bath; loft with two twin beds, drawer space and hangers. From the large cedar deck (four cushioned green vinyl chairs and matching table ; two folding lounges) you can take a few stairs down to the picnic table and pit BBQ (fire permit usually required) and then to the shore where your large private wharf awaits ... with a rowboat provided. Powerboats are not permitted on the lake, but a boat ramp into Thieves Bay is just two miles away.
Close to the features of Pender -- the shops, boutiques, craft studios, disc park for the frisbee enthiusiast, sea beaches and picnic sites. There is a nine hole public golf course near the ferry terminal with rarely any wait. Charter powerboat tours or guided fishing expeditions can be arranged directly.
Getting there is easy on the scenic routes offered by theBC Ferries. Vehicle reservations (recomended) are available at no additional cost on the route from the Tsawwassen terminal on the mainland near Vancouver, and a frequent schedule with a usual sailing time of about 40 minutes is offered between Pender Island and Schwartz Bay near Victoria on Vancouver Island.
