- Designed and programmed ‘Axion 3D
World Atlas’, an educational CDROM atlas program.
The program was awarded the Canadian Information
Processing Society’s award for ‘Best
Canadian Software System’ in May 1998 in Ottawa. It
is available in English , German, and Italian-language
versions for Windows 95/98/NT, has currently sold a total
of more than 40,000 copies in 5 countries, and is being
translated into other languages such as Turkish and
Portuguese.
- Designed and programmed data compression and
visualization components for battleWEB, a military
tactical situation display and communications program,
for Computing Devices Canada, a subsidiary of General
Dynamics.
- Was part of a programming team that
provided scientific display graphics on Silicon Graphics
workstations for the Michael Crichton movie ‘Congo’
released in summer 1995. Provided on-site technical
services at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles during
filming in December 1994 to January 1995. Copies of
articles and local news broadcasts (ITV, CBC, and CTV)
available on request.
- Member of organizing committee, in charge
of computer operations and electronic scoring systems for
1999 World Taekwondo Championships in Edmonton, Alberta during June 2-6, 1999.
Provided computer support, acquisition & setup of
software and hardware systems, and recruitment, training
& management of 30 computer operators for tournament
that included over 650 competitors from 74 different
countries. Did same for Canadian Open Taekwondo
Tournament in August 1998 in Edmonton (18 countries, 720
competitors), and provided hardware/software support for
Canadian Junior Nationals in Chatham, Ontario (June 1999).
- Senior designer and programmer of ‘TuneBuilder’,
a large-scale, multi-platform audio editing program.
Exhibited at most major shows including COMDEX,
ImageWorld, and NAB in 1994 and 1995. Selected from over
15,000 products to win "Top 20 Product" award
at NAB in Las Vegas, April 1995. Was one of top 2
products selected by Digital Media Associates DMA Matrix
Magazine at COMDEX in Las Vegas in November 1995.
Reviewed in numerous magazines and publications,
including: Desktop Video World, Digital Video, Multimedia
World, Amiga World, AV Video, Media West, The Computer
Paper, Edmonton Sun, Edmonton Journal, and others. (Copies

- Senior software engineer of a system used
for visualization and simulation of golf putts, developed
under contract for a U.S. computer graphics firm. System
used and shown during broadcasts of Greater Vancouver
Open tournament on TSN (August 1996) and World Cup Golf
Tournament in Cape Town, South Africa on FOX network (November
1996).
- Designed and programmed base station
command & control GIS software used for GPS satellite
tracking of factory fishing vessels off Vancouver Island.
System used for 3 years by Canadian Coast Guard Station at Ucluelet, B.C. This system was also
demonstrated during the Canadian Trade Mission to
Santiago, Chile in February 1995. Earlier versions were
shown at the Paris Air Show in 1991 and the Abbotsford
Air Show in 1991. Reviewed in industry publications such
as GIS World, Defense Electronics and Computing,
International Defense Review, Toronto Globe & Mail,

- Was member of programming team that
developed GIS and visualization software used by Silicon
Graphics Corporation in their
sales offices to demonstrate the graphics capabilities of
their workstations to potential clients.
- Designed and programmed multi-user
networked relational database system on Novell NetWare
for tracking insurance claims for Corporate Security
Division, City of Edmonton, 1990.
- Was member of programming team that wrote
a database and visualization system on Silicon Graphics
workstations for aircraft performance data, map
information, and air navigation hazards for planning and
simulating takeoff/landing emergency procedures, for a
European defense contractor in 1992.
