Holmsen Forestry Ltd. specializes in timberland valuations and has served clients in industry and governments in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, the U.S. Pacific Northwest, and the U.S. Inland Empire regions. Specific projects include valuation of the Tsitika and Tashish/Kwois ecological reserves and exchange areas, Carmanah Pacific Provincial Park, Juan de Fuca Park Trail. Holmsen also prepared an appraisal of the lost timber values caused by the establishment of the South Moresby National Park Reserve, in the Queen Charlotte Islands archipelago.

The Principal of the firm has also conducted investigations, prepared documentation, and appeared as expert witness in litigation and arbitration cases. Other projects include timber harvesting and transportation studies, inventories, and volume/decay studies.
