What the hell is a Treecrusher ? Who the hell is Treecrusher? Well, it's a short story involving depression, travel, and Taco Time.

When not traveling the world searching for locations of Taco Time, Treecrusher , can be found in their hometown of Victoria (home of three mighty fine Taco Time restaurants...no they aren't shareholders, just big fans).

After breaking up with his girlfriend of nearly three years, Joe found he had nothing but time on his hands. With no friends around, he picked up his dusty guitar and started writing songs of depression. This made him very happy, which is strange as he is very unhappy most of the time.

Joe had a friend (Shawn) who lived in Vancouver, played the bass and also wrote songs of depression.

On one of his many searches for Taco Time, Shawn found himself in the northern B.C. town of Mackenzie. Unfortunately, the town was Taco Time absent. On his way out of town an amazing structure caught his attention. The sign read, "The World's Largest Tree Crusher." His curiosity was aroused and he retreated to Victoria where he knew there would be a Taco Time.

At a meeting held over soft tacos and burritos (no cheese, extra sour cream) it was decided that they couldn't let such an incredible thing be wasted. The search for a depressed drummer was on. They found one, recorded a three song demo tape, and performed a number of shows. The drummer turned out to be too happy, so they sent him to Terrace, B.C. for corrective treatment (there is no Taco Time in Terrace)...

The search continued and they found Travis, the former drummer for Gadget. He was depressed enough...and the rest is history.

Or so we thought...Travis played his last show with us at the Starfish Room in Vancouver where we opened for The Sweaters and J Church. We gave up on the search for depressed drummers and were lucky enough to find Jay, the extremely upbeat former drummer for Section 46 and Lootbag. We quickly introduced him to Taco Time and our airtight, mold growing practice room.

We're currently preparing to record new material in September 1998 to be released in early 1999 which will include "The Taco Time Song" and nine other catch little punk pop tunes.

"Yes I Don't" was recorded over the August long weekend in a SEA OF SHIT by the one and only Scott Henderson.

"Yes I Don't" is available from Gorge Records for $12 and at most Vancouver and Victoria record stores.
