The PRT-2 was the smallest, first truly portable , designed especially for engineering parties working back in the mountains on the original Kitimat hydo power surveys. This still used vacuum tubes and dry "A" and "B" batteries. It was supplied with a genuine leather case. Hundreds were sold all over Canada and particularly in the North. One was taken up Mt. Everest with the first Canadian team.
