I think I need to adjust my previous description of my preferred music tastes. Previously, I said that I had an aversion to "popular" music... but now I know that's simply not quite true. I don't avoid music because it's popular... I'll just avoid it because it's bad. I do however try to give all music a chance. I prefer to judge the music for what it is - entertainment. Because I don't pay much attention to media hype, I am left to buying music on whims and depend virtually entirely on chance. Fortunately, these days, with the Internet, I can ask around and find out what's decent.

   I am not really all that particular with music. Essentially, if I think it's good, I'll listen to it, be it rock, pop, country... whatever. The number one criteria I have for music is quite simple - it has to sound good. A particular trend has developed in the past few years - I really like female vocalists, of any genre.
