We invite you to please answer the
following questions as truthfully as possible - your honest
replies are an important contribution.
To what do you attribute
the loss of interest in Doukhoborism by contemporary youth,
assign numbers from 1 to 5, in order of importance: [#1 being
most important]
___ Assimilation into Canadian society
___ Intermarriage
___ The stigma of being 'Doukhobor' because of the past actions
of our brethren; nudity, arson etc.
_____ The loss of the Russian
language, preventing youth from participating in Doukhobor
functions and learning Doukhobor ideals and principles
___ Unavailability of Doukhobor institutions or organizations in
urban centres, 'away from the home ground'

What factors would rekindle your interest in Doukhoborism
and make you a practising Doukhobor?
___ Translate all psalms, hymns, prayers and songs into English
and use English in all functions
___ Translate all singing into phonetics and continue our singing
in the Russian language
___ Conduct all functions in Russian and English, making use of
interpreters at all times
___ Make it a priority to inform the Canadian society as to what
Doukhoborism is really about
___ Admit that Doukhobor spiritual leaders were not saints and
were not infallible

If you are not presently a practising Doukhobor and you
do not wish to be known as a Doukhobor, what is your stance in so
far as Doukhobor ideals are concerned?
___ God is within every human being, therefore a life cannot be
taken under any circumstances, strict pacifism is the only route
to go
___ Pacifism is idealistic and in truth, cannot be adhered to
___ Christ was no more the son of God than all mankind and was
not born of a virgin birth
___ Christ was born of a virgin birth and was in fact the Son of
God as stated in the bible
