| Who is Moonlit Odyssey? |
Moonlit Odyssey is a collective of people providing unique oppurtunities for dancers. It's founder is Hope Corbin . Her dream was to produce an event which included performance by emerging dancers, and afterwards music by some of vancouver's finest D.J.'s. This first show was called Passion, and it happened December 6th, 1997. Valerie Lajoie jumped on board to co-produce the next show, Blossom. It was well recieved by an enthusiastic Vancouver audience and they are producing another show in November.
Hope Corbin graduated from the Main Dance Performance Training Program in 1997. She was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and started dance at the age of 6. This past December she produced her first dance show called Passion.. She has also just performed in the Leaping Lizards Dance Collective's show Shared Ground last March.
Valerie Lajoie has only lived in Vancouver for a short time. In that time she has managed to dance with Rhonda Cooper, Pam Robinson, and recently she was an understudy for Kinesis Dance. She can also be found as the Front of House co-ordinator for EDAM, as well as teching for dance shows around the city.
