The Celtic Art Coracle Volume 2 Issue 5
COVER
(Artwork: Aidan Meehan)
Cover Design: from the shoulder clasp made of cloisonné
garnets set in gold, part of the Anglian Royal Ship Burial (no body found,
apparently they just buried the ship) at Sutton Hoo, Enfgalnd. Of note is the fact
that the artist soldered in the background in imitation of champleve enamel work,
and used millefiore, more typical techniques of Celtic than Saxon work.
