A development from #54. The foreleg foot has a long thumb- and 2 finger digits, which identifies it as the eagle's claw of a griffin, it stems from the base of the neck, as the foreleg of a quadruped should do. The hind leg is off a lion, it may have a small dew claw, and 2 or 3 long toes armed with cat's claws, in profile. The tail ends in a split tassle. The ear knot of the griffin is a thinner knot than the tail. as less important. [In private collection since 2010.06.19]
