7" x 8"1/2 (170x220 mm) Griffin, facing down towards the left. Drawn on Strathmore Bristol paper, with wild (Canada) goose quill and carbon-black- and iron-oxide-red acrylic paint.
The griffin was not included in Celtic animal pattern, through it easily could have been, as the lion and the eagle of Celtic art are both in the griffin. It's the front end of the eagle joined to the back end of the lion.
