Ronda Rindone

Clarinetist/composer Ronda Rindone is an internationally recognized artist in the jazz, improvised and new music genres. She has performed with such great improvisers as Vinny Golia, Nels Cline, Bonnie Barnett, and James Newton and in the classical/new music world as Zito Carno (Los Angeles Philharmonic), Erica Duke-Kirkpatrick (California E.A.R. Unit), David Johnson (XTET), Vicky Ray (XTET), Rachel Rudich and Bryan Pezzone. She has recorded on Capitol, Columbia, Nine Winds, Spool Records, and other assorted small labels. Recent recording projects include Allison Cameron's Somatic Refrain on Spool Records and her ensemble, This Moment, will be releasing a CD on Nine Winds this spring with the assistance of the Ontario Arts Council. Her work has been featured on CBC, CKLN and CIUT in Toronto and in Los Angeles on KXLU and KPFK. Performance credits include premiering pieces for Martin Arnold, Allison Cameron, David Mott, and Robert Stevenson, as well as performing the works of Linda Smith, Christopher Butterfield and Maria de Alvear (Germany), among others. Rhonda is a member of various Toronto ensembles including Hemispheres, CCMC, The Woodchoppers Association, Nick Fraser Trio, Rob Clutton Projects, and groups led by Tomasz Krakowiak, Ting Hong, Eugene Martynec, R & R, Rick Sacks, and Robert Stevenson.
