" A Brief History"

While many archeologests believe that the first sailing vessels were
built in China, the first actual records of such vessels date back to about
5000BC in Egypt. Later, the appearance of the Viking "Dragon Ships"
around the year 1000AD, represented a major leap forward in yacht design,
opening the door to ocean voyaging, and of course the discovery of North
America. During these times the designer, and builder, were one in the
same, and it wasn't untill the mid 19th century that the two activities
began to separate.
Todays Yacht Designers experience demands far greater than are placed
upon most other design fields. They must be Artists, Inventors,
and Innovators. They must study, and become masters of
hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, and marine engineering, while
working with a variety of materials including woods, aluminum, and composite
fibers. In todays modern design offices, we must also have a thorough understanding
of computer hardware, design software, imaging, CNC programing, FEA, and
stay on top of all new developments.

you what a "complete" design house has to offer.
